Ece and Ayse Ege are fashion designers and the creators of Dice Kayek. They come from Istanbul and their last collection is called “Istanbul Contrast”. They created 26 different garments each of which represents another aspect of Istanbul. Every piece is inspired from a different historical building or angle of the city. Just looking at the pieces is breathtaking and to my opinion it is a very good example of translating forms and even meanings into a different type of language. Through these creations one can see the cast iron lattice work of Galata Bridge, the mosaics of Hagia Sophia, Istanbul’s doves of the Bosporous, the domes of the mosques who are representative of the city, its tulips and even the busy city night. Truly inspiring.
So, in order the dresses above "are":
Hagia Sophia
Galata Bridge
A mosques dome
A dove from Bosphorous
Istanbul city my night
Topkapi
